James Wright is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at San Diego State University. His research critically analyzes the various ways in which race and culture shape educational policy. Specifically, he looks at contemporary educational practices, informed by school policies, as impacted by historically racialized inequities that have become school norms.
